About Us

Lindsay OvertonLindsay B. Overton, M.S., CCC-SLP

Lindsay B. Overton was born and raised in Oskaloosa, Iowa. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree at the University of Iowa in 2005 with her major in Hearing and Speech Sciences. Lindsay also received a certificate focused on the Deaf and Hard of Hearing Culture. She then moved to Washington, DC to attend Gallaudet University, which is a nationally accredited university focused on educating people who are deaf. Lindsay experienced the Deaf Culture while refining her American Sign Language skills. She earned her master’s degree after graduating in 2007 with her Master of Science degree focused on Speech Language Pathology.

Lindsay started working at The River School in Georgetown (Washington, DC). The River School is recognized by lead researchers in the audiology and speech language pathology field to be educating children with hearing loss successfully and with remarkable results. Lindsay also worked for a private speech-language therapy clinic called Chattering Children where she worked with children who were English as a second language learners and low socioeconomic levels.  Lindsay worked as a speech language pathologist as she helped children with cochlear implants and hearing aids ages 1 to 13. She moved back to her hometown in Oskaloosa, Iowa in 2014 to address a pressing need for a private speech pathologist in her community. Lindsay is licensed by the Iowa Board for Speech Language Pathology. She holds a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech Language Hearing Association.

Holly Drury, M.A., CCC-SLP

Holly Drury, MA, CCC-SLP is a 2011 graduate from the University of Northern Iowa.  Holly became a speech-language pathologist because she has a passion for helping people of all ages. Following internships working with adult and pediatric clients at Mercy Hospital in Des Moines and with children in the Grinnell Schools, Holly accepted a position working full-time serving students in the schools with an education agency. During her first two years in the schools, Holly continued to work with adults’ speech needs on an as-needed basis at UnityPoint Health (formerly Marshalltown Medical and Surgical Center) in Marshalltown.  Now she is eager to get back to regularly assisting adult communication needs at Lindsay’s Chatterbox.  Whether helping clients regain skills after an illness such as a stroke or preserve skills in the midst of a dementia diagnosis, Holly’s desire is to walk alongside clients and their families and together achieve the best quality of life possible.

When not at the office, Holly enjoys playing volleyball, crafting, spending time on her parents’ farm, and eating homestyle ice cream from the Frosty Udder.

Beth L. Overton

Beth Overton joined Lindsay’s Chatterbox to serve as the Office Manager and Accountant in November 2014.  She holds a B.A. in Accounting from the University of Northern Iowa and has worked in Public Accounting for 34 years.  Her most recent position was in the Oskaloosa office of TD&T CPA’s and Advisors, where she retired after 19 years.

At Lindsay’s Chatterbox, Beth enjoys serving clients and their families.  Her duties include assisting clients with scheduling appointments, obtaining insurance information, and sometimes, she is fortunate enough to just play with kids!
